My niece, Melissa, is a member of the Northern California First Nations Maidu tribe. When she married her high school boyfriend she did so in the Maidu tradition. Her wedding was the first traditional wedding for the tribe in over 100 years. Although there a dozens of good photos from this day I've limited my selections to images of my direct family out of respect for the tribe's wishes.
