PHOTOGRAPHY RATES

Having a professional photographer to capture your event is just as valuable has hiring a caterer instead of cooking all the food yourself. Things are just too freaking hectic at most events, making sure the guests are enjoying themselves is your first priority, not running around with a camera. Rather than letting those moments slip away I can capture those moments for you in an artistic way. I have years of experience working under difficult circumstances – snow, hail and 2 year olds throwing cake – and will deliver a quality set of images you will be proud to share with your friends.

Since each project is unique the exact pricing is equally unique. Unlike most photographers I prefer to work on a time and materials basis. This means you pay me for how much of my time you need and how many expenses I incur. This allows me to offer services starting as low as $200!! There's no hidden price structure, no surprises, and you get total control.

There are too many variables for me to provide a 'menu' type price structure. Give me a ring, we'll discuss your event and I can quote you a price once I understand what your needs are. Call me to discuss your project – 925-708-4409

PHOTOGRAPHY PRICING GUIDELINES

For editorial photography I receive $350 for a half day assignment, short assignments are half that. Additional costs such as pre-press processing of photos or hosting on my website also apply. Naturally, additional charges for travel expenses, rental equipment and similar items may also apply. For newspapers and magazines this rate is based on one time usage of image for editorial purposes. Model releases will not be provided unless we are working with paid talent.

Events are billed like editorial photography provided the images are for personal private use. If the work will be used in a marketing campaign then the price of the work would be based on the type of usage. Distribution, media types and 'life' of the photos will be taken into account when agreeing on a price.

Weddings are a special type of event that requires a more expensive rate. That's not opportunism, it's plain reflection of the added difficulties of shooting a wedding. A couple's wedding is one of the most important events in their life. The amount of planning, the equipment and effort on the photographers (caterer and every other professional for that matter) far exceeds that of your average job. I charge double the rate I charge newspapers and additional costs such as printing and Photoshop work is billed on a per item basis. Naturally once we've discussed your project I can give you a quote.
